What happens on the day
After a short puja the baby is fed a spoonful of kheer by the elders in turn. Many families follow with the tray of objects the child chooses from. Expect about two hours including photographs.

Kheer, a low table or mat, and the tray items if you want that part. Your pandit will send a short list.
