Almost everybody here is exactly who they say they are, and the introductions that work are the ordinary ones — between families, unhurried, with people either side knows. These are the habits that keep it that way, and the specific stories used to take money from families in this community.
Involve your family early, and meet with family present
The safest introductions in this community are the ones that happen the way they always have: between families, in person, with people either side knows. Nothing about doing that through a website should change it.
Never send money, gifts, or fees — whatever the reason
A customs charge on a parcel. A visa fee. A medical emergency. Luggage stuck at an airport. These are the exact stories used to take money from families here, and there is no version of a genuine introduction that begins with a bank transfer. If you are asked, report it.
Check independently
Ask about the workplace and look it up. Ask who you both know — in a community this size there is usually someone. NepalNet has checked who the account belongs to; it has not checked anything the notice says.
Be careful with someone who is only ever overseas and always in a hurry
Somebody who can never meet, never video call, and needs a decision quickly is describing a situation rather than a person. Slow down. A family with honest intentions will wait.
No dowry, in either direction
Asking for or offering dowry — daijo, tilak, by any name — is prohibited here and is refused at posting. Dowry is illegal in Nepal and this platform takes the same position.
Report anything that feels wrong
Reports on matrimonial notices jump the queue. You do not need to be certain, and you will not be asked to justify it — tell us and we will look.
